After months of
Android-x86 6.0 test releases, the Android-x86 "Marshmallow" release is up to the release candidate phase.
Android-x86 6.0-RC1 was announced and it contains support for 32-bit and 64-bit kernel/user-space, now runs off the Linux 4.4.12 kernel, OpenGL ES 3.x support via the R600g/RadeonSI/Nouveau/VMware/VirGL drivers, OpenGL ES fall-back support via LLVMpipe, support for UEFI booting, support for various file-systems, and support for many other new features that were previously unavailable via Android-x86.
