Virtual Reality is definitely the hot topic of 2014, but it's not an area developers can just dive into headfirst.
Reports of motion sickness are just the beginning when it comes to the uncharted realm of VR. All developers are going through a learning curve as they learn what works and what doesn't. And before studios get carried away with their revolutionary ideas, they must always be mindful of their responsibilities to the end user.
This will be the topic of a discussion given by Katie Goode, game designer at award-winning studio Preloaded, at next month's Develop Live conference. In a session entitled 'Virtual Reality: Developers' Responsibilities', she will discuss what conditions and design aspects developers need to be aware of when creating virtual reality experience.
She will be expanding on her previous Develop articles, which you can read here and here.
Goode was one of several new speakers confirmed for Develop Live yesterday, with more announcements due in the week.
